I'm absolutely stoked with my TJ, averaged 6.8L/100km on the highway over a 300km duration today (the trip computer from fill-up to fill-up is within 0.4L accuracy too) and got 530km to 44.8L with an average speed of 71km/h, and about 100km of that was spirited driving through hills and peak hour traffic with heaps of overtaking. It's been the cheapest car on fuel I've ever had. In town it's a little thirstier at around 12-13L/100km but I'm not always light on the pedal either and usually average only 25km/h with that. My 07 Commodore averages 16L/100km under the same town driving conditions.
I should also add that I use Shell V-Power 98ron unleaded and I also ran some fuel cleaner through the tank plus did a throttle body clean on it too
